Maybe you’ve had a bunch of people suggest to you that you change your mindset. They might be suggesting that because you linger in negative spaces or you keep talking about wanting to move forward but are getting stuck. Change your mindset!
But how do you do that? Isn’t changing your mindset one of those easier-said-than-done things?
1. Get on board with the idea of mindset.
Mindset is one of those things where you have to be at least open to the idea of its success in order for it to start taking effect. If you need some convincing, check out this post on Why Changing Your Mindset Isn’t Completely Woo-Woo.
2. Figure out where you want to go.
You need to know what is your goal, what is your next step, how do you want to feel, what is the change you want to see? Bonus points for figuring out how you’re going to reach that next goal/step/feeling. (Don’t stress out: the how of you moving forward is still in the hypothetical stage.)
3. Create a new script.
You can get as casual or formal as you want with this. The goal here is to replace your old thoughts with new ones. You can do this by writing new affirmations down, recording them audibly, or just being mindful about thinking through this new mindset.
No matter how you’ve chosen to create your script, you need to return to it over and over again. Read through your affirmations, say them into the mirror every morning, listen to your recording before you go to bed, journal through your affirmations each day. Your mindset change is a practice, not an event.
When you sign up for Coaching by See Heather Smile, one of the first things we do is look at your mindset and create affirmations that are best suited to your goals and dreams.

It’s not as easy as it seems, but changing your mindset can create a ripple effect in your life that can lead to larger things. All you need to do is open yourself up to those possibilities.
Enjoy the journey,
