Welcome to 2017!
Thank you for reading my novel of a post last week. As a reward for sticking it out to the end, this week’s post will be much shorter. But there is some exciting news in it!
As part of all the brainstorming I did for my blog that I mentioned in previously acknowledged novel of a post, I thought about putting myself through monthly wellness challenges, encouraging readers (you guys) to try them out with me, and writing weekly posts about how the challenges have been going and how they have affected my life for (hopefully) the better. These challenges would cover fitness, mental health, healthy habits, anything really.
So, for my first wellness challenge, I introduce 28 Days of Gratitude. I know words like gratitude, intention, and mindfulness have gone rampant these days, but having already tried a few days of what this challenge entails, I really thought it would be a nice start to this experiment. I actually got the idea for daily gratitude from a co-worker who asks her kids every night what their favourite part of their day was.
28 Days of Gratitude calls for simply finding a journal, a word document on your laptop, or even a spare sheet of loose-leaf, and writing down one thing you’re thankful or grateful for from that day. Alternatively, you could write down your favourite part of that day.
I started my personal challenge on Sunday, but feel free to join me and write down your own bits of gratitude and thankfulness. Check in with me on Thursdays to see how my journey is going, and tell me about yours in the comments! I’ll still be posting my regular random posts on Tuesdays (unless I, you know, just don’t), so there’ll be twice as much fun time with me every week! Yay!!!
I’ll see you back here in two days to share how the first few days of my 28 Days of Gratitude Challenge have been.
So far, I have been grateful for amazing friends who really feel like family, and crab Rangoon.
Keep smiling, friends.
