I love podcasts because I can take them anywhere with me, they can be incredibly entertaining, or they can teach me so much!
Here are some podcasts I’ve been loving lately…
I’ve been subscribed to this podcast for a couple years now. Being Boss is hosted by boss ladies Kathleen Shannon and Emily Thompson and talks about all things boss-life. Whether that’s time-management, mindset, pricing, or work-life balance, these two are talking about it. Kathleen and Emily throw in a dose of hilarity and woo-woo into their brand, and their best friendship really shines on the show.
By the Book
This is a hilarious show! Also one I’ve been listening to for a long time, By the Book is hosted by Kristen Meinzer and Jolenta Greenberg. In each episode, Kristen and Jolenta read a self-help book and live by it for two weeks. Books they’ve covered include The Secret, The Little Book of Hygge, The Four Hour Work Week, and The Sleep Revolution.
I’ve only listened to season 2 of this one and they’re talking about the wellness industry. As a blogger who prescribes wellness and self-care, I felt I should give this one a shot. The host is spending season 2 exploring various wellness practices and how the industry is taking advantage of its clients and spouting pseudo-science.
Happier with Gretchen Rubin
I’m pretty sure this podcast has been on every single one of my podcasts I love lists. What can I say, I love it! Gretchen Rubin and her sister Elizabeth Craft offer tips and tricks for living getting along with others, making life easier, and just living a happier life.
Harry Potter and the Sacred Text
Vanessa and Casper are on book six right now, so there’s still time to join the journey! Each week they read one chapter of the book through a different theme and read it as though it is a sacred text from which we can learn life lessons.
Just Between Us
If you’re into comedy with a little bit of real-world talk, this is the podcast for you. Comedians and writers Allison Raskin and Gaby Dunn host this hilarious podcast which features segments such as Tough Questions, Hypotheticals, and International Questions (cue fun segment theme). They bounce ideas off each other, bring in truly diverse guests, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.
I arrived at this party SUPER late as this is a 10+ year old podcast!! MuggleCast explores all things Harry Potter including the books, films, theme parks, fan websites, products, and more. If you need a Harry Potter fix, this is the podcast for you.
Calling all musical nerds! As they sing in their theme song, Off Book is “the improvised musical podcast with Zach and Jess.”
Yep, that’s right. Zach and Jess improvise a musical in every episode! And sometimes they bring guests on to join them in the shenanigans!
