I’m a big fan of pausing and taking a look back over the good that has happened in the past while. For this reflection, I’ll be looking over the winter season.

I moved this summer and being able to chat on the phone with my friends and family has been a lifesaver! When I’m feeling really blue, I give someone a call and things start to turn around.
Watching my friend’s show
My friend directed his first musical and it was a great success! I was so proud of him. From what I know about the process and from my interactions with my own directors, it is not an easy job!
I’ve always had a soft spot for exercise for older adults and this winter I finally got to take a three-day course on it! It lit up that passion inside me big time! And now I’m getting to pursue that passion even further by teaching older adult classes.
I was fortunate enough to visit Las Vegas this Christmas. It is such a strange place! Tons of fun, lots to see, and there is nothing like it. It temporarily satiated my travel bug’s hunger, but I feel it getting a little peckish these days!
Some friends of mine and the fiance’s went to a place called Danceland where they have a dance floor made from horse hair. We got to dance the night away, swim in a mineral pool, and catch up with some pretty awesome people.
Sunny winter days
When I looked over my summer version of this post, I saw that sunny days were listed in there too. I have a thing for the sun I guess. But it really does make a difference, especially when it’s so cold. It makes a winter day bright and promising!
Selling my first See Heather Smile product
This was a goal I had been working toward for years. I always knew when I started See Heather Smile that I wanted to eventually monetize it. Selling the Self-Care Workbook meant finally reaching that goal and making my dreams of making an income off the blog seem like they could eventually become a reality.
Getting serous about getting help with my writing
I’ve mentioned this in other posts, but I got coaching for my writing and everything that goes with it and it has made a difference in my writing habits and in how fast I’m moving towards my goal of publishing a novel. I can feel the needle moving forward slowly but steadily. Baby steps, always.

I challenge you to give this exercise a try! I like to go through my day-planner (yep, I still use a paper day-planner) to help jog my memory over the good things that have happened lately. But all you need to do is just take a second and give it a good thinking over.
What made you smile this past winter?
Enjoy the journey!
